T-45C Version 2.30 being released

I am uploading the latest build of the T-45C Goshawk project for Flight Simulator:Acceleration as I write. File will be available on the public folder of my Google Drive and later on at Flightsim and Avsim as usual.
There are no major changes, just very minor fixes here and there. The main reason why you may want to download this is the new flight model, with a more realistic behaviour, courtesy of Tom Falley. Complete list of changes is here:

VERSION 2.30
- Improved and more realistic flight model, courtesy of Tom Falley. Performance is now much closer to the real aircraft
- Fixed animation bug on instructor seat ARM switch
- Fixed pan rate in instructor view
- Fixed minor modeling and texturing mistakes in pilots models
- Added various external views and fixed pan rate in all of them

Also, I have deleted all the "download" pages on this blog. They will be consolidated in an unique (and permanent) download page where you can find all the latest official releases of my works.
The download link for the T-45C version 2.30 will posted there.

Hi Dino

I tried out this new flight model, but I'm not liking it. I find that I run out of pitch trim on approach, requiring constant back pressure on the stick to maintain the approach angle of attack. I don't know if that is real or not but I've reverted to Version 2.25.

@Anonymous

Well, I knew that the new flight model would have been somewhat controversial.

Never flown a T-45C (or any jet plane) so I can't tell for sure. However, from what I have seen, the behaviour is generally closer to the Natops than it was before - but needs more work and it slightly less easy to fly...

Anyway, thanks for you input and for sharing it.

Hi Dino

No problem, at least I have the option of reverting to the Version 2.25. I'm sure the elevator trim issue could be solved (assuming it is even a problem and not a real-world flying characteristic of this type) by tweaking the elevator authority.

Either way, the T-45 is still one of my favorite jets to fly. Any chance you might consider making the M-346? I believe some of it is manufactured in Italy. Has to be the best looking trainer jet out there. The Russian version is called the Yak-130.

Both very nice looking aircraft and look like a lot of fun to fly.

Ciao Mariano

I know the M-346, actually I also did a little bit of work on a model that was given to me by another designer - which, afaik, is working again on it on his own.

Once the F-14 and the F-35 are released I will evaluate new projects - there is some chance I will do an Aermacchi (M326 or 339) but, honestly, I will first check if I really have the time...

I've been noticed that the current build may have a bug in the scratchpad code... will check and eventually release an upgrade asap.
