F-35 Version 2.05 Release

I have decided to pack all the recent fixes and updates to an official release, which will also limit the need to download files and patches from Mediafire (as it looks that some of its ads/pop-ups could been malicious). Version number is 2.05 and is being uploaded to SimMarket as I write.

Please remember that the installation of version 2.05 will overwrite all aicraft.cfg files - that is will delete the entries of any third party liveries you may have installed. You will need to re-add the entries in the .cfg files as needed.

Version 2.05
August 24th 2012 – CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS VERSION:
  • Added Royal Netherlands Air Force repaint
  • Fixed miscellaneous problems with F-35C model
  • Added paintkit (in the form of an uncompressed .bmp file without any nationality or squadron marking, no layers-sorry). These uncompressed .BMP files are stored in the “Paintkit” subfolder of each aircraft in the “SimObjects/Airplanes” folder of you FSX installation. The .BMPs are stored in .ZIP files to reduce footprint, as we believe most users will not need them.

Quick question, will sim Market email me about the update? I have not seen anything about it in email or on the web site. Thanks

They should have. I do not receive a notice when an update is deployed... so I am not sure...

Is there any chance you could add the ferry and JDAM versions to the RAF version the F35B please.
I fly for RAFsim and we have just incorporated this airframe into our Naval Rosters and we would really like to use the other models that the F35A and C have.

Thanks a lot

Also, is there any chance of making the AI radar work in multiplayer, this would be a massive help when doing CAP or ACM.

Cheers :)

Very interested in purchasing this but I use Directx 10 Preview because it gives me much better FPS. Can anyone confirm that this works with it? Thanks.

Sorry to be that person again, but are beta testers supposed to receive a copy of this release as well?

@All
It seems that most (if not all) users were not notified by SimMarket. You should be able to download the latest version by logging into the site anyway.

@Anonymous

Unfortunately, adding functionalities to radar modes is beyond my knowledge.

@Anonymous / 2

I'll let other users reply to this - afaik, the only incompatible geometry was removed in the latest update but I've never tested it extensively in DX10

@Orion
In this case, since the title update was just a minor one (it is exactly like applying the last two patches) I did not provide a separate download link for contributors, testers and developers - also because of the virus apparently spreading through Mediafire. I will probably do that in the next update (if any).

No problem, I've read your request elsewhere... sorry - I am back to my "real life" job so I sometimes struggle to reply to all requests.

I am currently working on other projects, but I am considering a further update to the F-35 and I will consider that.
Reason for not having full JDAM complement at the beginning is that I wasn't sure that the total weight was within the -B flight envelope at the time.

Thanks for reply, really appreciate it.
