T-45C version 2.01 download link

UPDATE: The package seems to work fine and has been sent to Flightsim.com and Avsim.com (and should be available in a day or two). In the meantime, however, I have updated it to version 2.01 to get rid of a minimal bug that made the nose gear sink too much into the runways. It is a minimal change but I found it to be annoying. The file sent to flightsim and avsim is version 2.01, and the download link on this page has been update to version 2.01, too. Also, a link to the new aircraft.cfg is provided so that you do not have to download the whole thing again. Apologies for the incovenience...

Ok, finally here it is! Please find the Mediafire download link for the new Goshawk below. I will upload it to the major FSX files repositories tomorrow - once I've double checked that the files are properly formatted and working (I've tested them...but you never know...).

Boeing T-45C Goshawk for Flight Simulator X: Acceleration (Mediafire download link)

Update from version 2.00 to version 2.01 (only aicraft.cfg changes, gets rid of nose gear sinking too much into runways)
MEDIAFIRE DOWNLOAD LINK

Unfortunately I had not time (and sometimes the skills) required to squash all the bugs - so some are still there. But in my opinion, this relase is way better than all my previous Goshawks, and way better than the Beta.

Should you have any major issues with this installation please let me know asap.
I hope it works correctly and I hope you will like it!

I've been very impressed with the beta and now with improved HUD and VC it should be a remarkable taste of flying the real thing. Thank you Dino and all of the team. You have led the drive to make flight simming even more enjoyable and challenging. Thank you. I look forward to flying in it.

Hi Dino.
It's really beatiful. Some minor bugs remained but it's still 500% improvement from old version and new HUD looks and works flawless :) Thank you and guys for excellent work.

Regards, George.

Very good Add-on. Better as ever. Thank you very much Dino.

Hello Dino,

Fantastic work and attention to detail by you and your team. Thank you!

Can I mention a small detail [not a stopper I know] about the noticable visual 'wobble' or 'inbalance' in the main gear wheels at speed?

Hope you don't mind me highlighting this, especially for such a great freeware project...

Regards,

Dave.

can somebody add Shockwave 3D Lights to Dino's Goshawk?

Anonimo ha detto...

Great work guys!
VC is very well done.
Thx Dino & Jivko.

+1 for Shockwave 3D Lights scheme.

Andy Niko.

KDFW ha detto...

yes, you can add the shockwave landing light.

add to aircraft.cfg under the lights section:

light.9 = 6, 16.9, 0.26, -2.9, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow

and add the on/off gauge to the panel.cfg:

gauge01=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_taxi_gear, 1, 1, 1, 1

The light will turn on with the light switch (front most switch) and will automatically extinguish with gear up.

Jiri ha detto...

@KDFW at what section exactly in panel.cfg?

Anonimo ha detto...

Thank you.! The detail on the aircraft model looks great.
Are the aircraft lights modeled into the mdl..? I can see the strobe(s) flashing inside the aircraft but can not get them to move. The fx_navwhi light is not visible from the back of the aircraft. The fx_strobe_t45 can not be seeen from overhead or forward from the wing tips.?

KDFW ha detto...

panel.cfg, like this (last entry):

[Vcockpit02]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=512,512

visible=1
pixel_size=512,512
texture=$t45vc0

;1 = left DDI
;2 = right DDI
;3 = center DDI

gauge00=fa-18!MFD, 0,0,512,512, 1
gauge01=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_taxi_gear, 1, 1, 1, 1

----------

As for the strobes inside the VC, you can swap the fx file with ones that don't cast the light.

Thanks KDFW, but it's still not working properly, too bad Dino didn't fix this. When you press the upper light button, nothing happens. With your solution, only shockwave effect shows up. While pressing L key, all lights including landing lights come up but SW effect remains in same position even after gear retract. I did exactly what you wrote, so mistake it's not at my side, that upper button just not working :(

beautiful job. version 2 flies so smoothly and looks absolutely gorgeous.

many, many thanks.

KDFW ha detto...

Jiri, you'll have to make sure you have that gauge file. It could be that I had to create that gauge file to overcome the taxi switch coding so it may not a part of the Shockwave pkg.

See if SW Lights_taxi_gear exists and try that one.

The ground light projection cone does not come on with the taxi light switch so perhaps it was missed (L will force it on), but I'm not picky about this function.

Anyway, I really enjoy flying around in the Goshawk. Wonder how easy the transition is from this bird to the F/A18E/F. VRS F/A18 does feel quite different from this T45.

Anonimo ha detto...

Thanks Pat.!
Once I switched to Shockwave all the aircraft lights appeared as expected.

There is definitely a problem with the default lights not showing up.

All,

thanks a lot for your appreciation and support!
The Goshawk is not yet as good as I wanted it to be...but I have to confess that I am quite happy with the quality level...and it has already been downloaded more than 1000 times in less than 24 hours!

The new release is truly outstanding.

Your efforts are deeply appreciated.

Is there a paint kit going to be made available? I would like to redo all of those I did for the previous version.

fsrotorcraft ha detto...

Dino, thanks very much for this release! You have certainly outdone yourself! I did notice one issue. It seems as though my airspeed indicator on the HUD is stuck at 50 until that speed is passed up...then it functions normally, but when slowing down after landing, the number stops at 50. Was this something that you were unable to fix?

FYI - The file is now online at avsim and flightsim - although for a library mistake, at flightsim it is tagged as a "sound set" - I've already sent an email to the library manager to have this fixed.

Dino,

After a sensational flight over mountains and diving through valleys I am very impressed. The HUD is wonderful and very usable and the plane is very flyable. I enjoyed my first experience in your excellent new plane, great work, thank you.

Cal

@fsrotorcraft The minimum airspeed recognized and displayed on the HUD by the T-45C Display Electronics Unit is 50 knots.

First of all, thanks a lot for this amazing simulation. Now a question: it is posible to have a compressor stall with this airplane? Is this simulated?

Thanks again for this airplane.

Kirby? No thanks! ha detto...

Grazie! Grazie!

thank you very much!

beautiful bellisimo!

fsrotorcraft ha detto...

@neutrino thanks for the info! Glad to know it's not a bug.

Anonimo ha detto...

Congratulations, your Goshawk is the new best plane freeware on fsx, it 's at a very high finish grade.

I will wait for new upgrades on F14 and F35 and will pay for that!

Thank you for your work and your time.

Dino, Thanks for all of your great work! You are a master aircraft creator! The Goshawk is better than ever... I cannot believe that it is freeware.

Thanks again!

Hi Dino,

I am really impressed with your work, I have a proposal that I would like to give to you,regarding the Goshawk, do you perhaps have a contact email? kind regards.
